Great Kills Park
It's My Park at Oakwood Beach
Saturday, May 3, 2025
10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
This It's My Park season, please join NYC H2O, along with the Natural Resources Protective Association for a volunteer cleanup at Oakwood Beach! Oakwood Beach and adjoining wetlands deal with a double-edged sword of being a secret to most of Staten island. The site holds one of the highest density populations of Osprey seen on the Island. While the wildlife holds strong, the few people that are around, and the close proximity to a waste plant, brings in a huge amount of trash.
Location
This will take place on Oakwood Beach, at the bottom of Tarlton Ave.
